Urban Courtyard Renovation & Addition

Located in San Francisco's Jordan Park neighborhood, this project transformed a full-floor flat through a comprehensive renovation and a carefully integrated rear addition. By repurposing an underutilized basement storage room, we connected the middle and lower levels with a new interior stair, allowing the home's primary living spaces to flow directly into the rear garden.

The result is a home that lives like a single-family residence, where indoor and outdoor spaces feel seamlessly connected. What was once an overlooked rear yard has been reimagined as an extension of the home—creating light-filled living spaces, flexible areas for entertaining, and a private urban retreat in the heart of San Francisco.
